  • Kendal Thompson is a singer/songwriter who originated from Alliston, Ontario, Canada. She began singing at the age of 3.  Hiding under the kitchen table and stopping if anyone walked by, she would make up songs as she went along, It took her years before she finally had the courage to perform.

Thompson began taking vocal lessons at the age of 12. Soon she was gathering fellow class mates for rehearsals of a girl group (or 3) that never received a name, or made it out of the playground. From those failed attempts she learned how to persevere with her purpose in hand. Attending Banting Memorial high school in Alliston brought a new light and countless musical opportunities for Ms. Thompson, at this point being almost solely inspired by Lauryn Hill, Thompson was able to take a guitar class there. She adopted a guitar her father had purchased years earlier for $10.00 at a local auction. The added musical outlet and freedom of expression took her writing to a whole new level.

Quietly and consistently writing lyrics and practicing guitar in her room of her childhood home was just the beginning of a long journey. Taking the leap to move to Toronto in 2007 she first found a home in the folk circuit. Endless shows and lucille projects later she had a meeting with producer, songwriter and musician Mike Schlosser and the musical results have formed that basis of all her music since. 2016 brought great promise as Thompson was truly coming into her own. In the late summer of 2015 Thompson enjoyed multiple wins at Toronto indie weeks battle of the bands and ended up with a chance to take the crown on the main stage. Following those performances she proudly announced her debut ep “ONE” in the late fall of 2015 on Little Noise Records. 2016 gave her the privilege of working with friend and fellow artist, John Orpheus on a song for his new project, the song titled “BUTTAHFLY” which has reached 100k views on YouTube and has been a fan favourite in the Orpheus base.  Applauded for her first release, Thompson is excited to continue working with her team at Little Noise for a much anticipated follow up in 2018

Toronto-based folk pop artist Angela Saini is all about second chances and empowering others.  Her ability to combine humanistic and honest themes laden with catchy hooks and memorable melodies make her entertaining as well as relatable, two amazing qualities for any musician to have. The Calgary native got her guitar chops early on when she formed her first band at the age of 15, with her Austrian mother and Indian father driving her to gigs in bars before she was legally allowed to frequent them.  She was the front woman of her high school rock band Supernal, which catapulted Angela to Toronto after 4 independent releases and thousands of kilometers touring. The rocker-turned-songstress released her first solo EP in 2012, after her refined songwriting skills and natural vocal ability got the attention of Tragically Hip drummer Johnny Fay. Demos together became pre-production for “Cake and Callouses” and shortly after, her second EP “Leap” was released in 2013. Two singles and a live album later, she is currently recording her upcoming album with single “Right Here Beside You” set for release in spring 2018. Heartfelt lyrics with a genuinely positive outlook reflect her life-affirming perspective: the road may be untraveled, but you’ll never know if you don’t take a chance.
